The Edge Lit Exit Sign offers a higher level of design appeal than any other type of exit sign available. The Edge Lit Exit Sign is distinguished by its high-grade acrylic panel that features a screen-printed version of "EXIT" in either red or green. The acrylic EXIT panel is attached to an aluminum housing that contains the Edge Lit Exit Sign's LED light source and battery backup system.

There are two types of Edge Lit Exit Signs to choose from: surface mounted and recess mounted. This model is the "Surface Mount" Edge Lit. Surface mounting Edge Lit Exit Signs install by the top, side or back of the sign using the included mounting plate. Recessed mounting Edge Lit Exit Signs install seamlessly into drywall and suspended ceiling surfaces. The Edge Lit Exit Sign consumes 120 or 277v AC power and comes standard with a nickel cadmium exit sign battery backup system that keeps the Edge Lit Exit Sign illuminated for at least 90 minutes after an emergency power outage occurs. UL 924 Listed and approved for use throughout the United States.

Application

The Edge Lit Exit Sign is designed for indoor use into all types of commercial facilities, mainly office buildings, hotels, and residential complexes such as condominiums and apartments. Surface mounting units install onto most normally inflammable surfaces. The recess mount Edge Lit Exit Sign installs into suspended ceilings and drywall ceilings and walls.

Internal Specifications

Red or green LED (Light Emitting Diode) light strips provide even and bright EXIT lighting while consuming less than 5 watts of electricity at all times.

Electrical Specifications

120/277v AC dual-voltage operation is standard. Other voltages available upon request such as 220v and 240v. AC lockout prevents battery pack discharge. Low voltage battery disconnect protects the battery pack form being damaged by long discharge periods.

Installation

SURFACE MOUNTED: The surface mount Edge Lit Exit Sign is suitable for surface (wall and ceiling) installation. This model is suitable for indoor and damp location installations on normally inflammable surfaces. Use two of three provided wires to connect the unit to AC power. Use the black(120v) and white(Common) wires for 120v AC connections and the red(277v) and white(Common) wires for 277v AC connections.
