New York City Exit Signs Are Code Compliant

New York City has specific rules for the exit signs that are compliant throughout the five boroughs of NYC. Each approved sign is compliant becayse they are manufactured to the specifications set forward by the Department of Buildings.

The NYC Department of Buildings requires 8" tall letters (as opposed to 6" throughout the rest of the USA), a metal housing (plastic is accepted elsewhere), and always must feature red letters (green letters can also be used elsewhere).
