Overview

The NYC-FH is a versatile New York City Emergency Light that features front mounted lamp heads that can also be side mounted. This allows the NYC-FH to function well when installed onto both ceilings and walls. This New York City emergency light can fit into tighter spaces than our standard NYC-EL Series and can be ordered with either square or rounded halogen lamp heads.

All New York City emergency lights are approved by the NYC Building Department and compliant for use throughout the five boroughs. A white powder coat is the standard housing color for this model; optional black or gray powder coat is also available. Add self-diagnostic testing to eliminate monthly and yearly testing requirements. Standard sealed lead acid battery comes in this NYC emergency light, Nickel Cadmium is also available.

Application

This New York City emergency light is designed for indoor use. It is suitable for wall and ceiling installations. The front-mounted emergency lamps provide ample illumination power.

External Specifications

The housing for the NYC-FH New York City emergency light is constructed from 20-gauge steel. It features a white powder coat that is also available in gray or black. Emergency lamps come mounted on the front of the unit but can also be side mounted as well. Square lamp heads are standard, but rounded heads are available as well.

Internal Specifications

The steel housing contains the circuit board, transformer, and battery backup system. A 6 volt 4.5 amp Sealed Lead Acid battery backup provides 90 minutes of reliable emergency illumination power.

Electrical Specifications

120/277v AC dual-voltage operation is standard. AC lockout prevents battery pack discharge. Low voltage battery disconnect protects the battery pack form being damaged by long discharge periods.

Code Compliance

The NYC-FH is compliant for use throughout New York City. All New York City emergency lights are evaluated and approved by the New York City Building Department.

Lifespan

8-10 year expected lifespan for the fixture. 3-5 year expected lifespan for the Sealed Lead Acid emergency light battery backup system, 5-7 lifespan for Nickel-Cadmium battery backup system.

Installation

New York City emergency lights are suitable for surface (wall and ceiling) installation. This model is suitable for indoor and damp location installations on normally inflammable surfaces. Use two of three provided wires to connect the unit to AC power. Use the black(120v) and white(Common) wires for 120v AC connections and the red(277v) and white(Common) wires for 277v AC connections.
