Normal composite incandescent bulbs will typically burn out under heavy rain or hurricane exposure, even inside a gasket Par 36 head. But since this parabolic aluminized reflector is fully encased in thick glass the C6 filament stays completely dry.

These trusted 12 watt Par 36 incandescent lamps have a sealed design that includes the mirrored 4" diameter reflector which projects a focused 10° spot on the floor. The base is a GX5.3 screw terminal made of brass that is highly resistant to corrosion from humidity or sea spray. Connecting the screw terminals is a breeze: just wrap the positive and negative electrodes to either terminal and screw them down with a philips type screwdriver.

Application

The LP-215 sealed beam incandescent emergency bulb will generally last 500-1000 hours in adverse conditions like low deserts or marine locations. But since the lamps are only used in an emergency they can last as long as 3 years before re-lamping is required. Because of their airtight design, you can store them in bulk for up to ten years.
