Overview

The RCEL Series is a recessed emergency light fixture that utilizes a gimbal assembly which allows for the light to be easily maneuvered when installed into the ceiling. The RCEL is favored for upscale interiors; it fully recesses into ceiling surfaces and blends well into the existing aesthetic of most high-end environments. The RCEL looks similar to a typical recessed can light so it will blend well with spaces that feature recessed lights. The housing and gimbal assembly are flame and corrosion resistant and are manufactured from lightweight aluminum. The electronics are contained within the housing which allows for easy handling and simple installation. The trim plate is finished in white, but can easily be re-painted to match the aesthetic of the space it is installed into.

External

Constructed from lightweight and durable aluminum. The trim plate is powder coated white and and push button allows for easy testing of the battery backup system.

Internal

Operates using 120/277v AC electrical power, suitable for indoor, ceiling recessed installations only. Damp location rated.

Lamp Specifications

The RCEL comes configured with (1) 8-watt lamp head that are fully adjustable via the gimbal assembly.

Battery

The RCEL comes standard with a 6-volt sealed lead acid battery.

Options

The RCEL can be ordered as a remote unit, without the battery, which allows for the fixture to be operated in emergency mode by a battery pack located elsewhere (sold separately). Consider ordering the remote version if you need to install a number of units; this decreases maintenance and testing requirements because only the battery pack and not individual units needs to be tested per OSHA standards.

Appeal

High-aesthetic appeal due to ceiling recess installation capability and similarity in appearance to a traditional recessed can light. Trim comes standard in a white powder coat, but can be custom painted to any specification.
