Advances in Wet Location Emergency Lights

Wet location emergency lights, commonly referred to as waterproof or weatherproof, have seen many advances in technology over the last ten years. The quality of the polycarbonate housings has increased - further insuring the light's impenetrability from moisture such as rain or snow.

For applications that feature cold temperatures, below 40 F, an internal battery heater will be required so that the unit's battery backup system can operate in such temperatures. Until recently, wet location emergency lights with battery heaters could only handle temperatures as low as -4 F. But just last year we began offering the Extreme Emergency Light, which can handle up to -40 F.

We recently completed two projects in Alaska which used the Extreme Emergency Light, both of which had phenomenal results. Consider using this model or another one of our many wet location emergency lights.
