Our 175W large metal halide wall packs project brilliant illumination in temperatures as low as -22° F. A heat-resistant borosilicate glass lens contains these powerful lamps inside the aluminum housing
These fixtures have 175W metal halide lamps, which illuminate from an electric arc (instead of a filament like incandescent models). The arc is sparked by an energized gaseous mix of vaporized mercury and metal halides.
These wall packs generate high-intensity discharge (HID) illumination and are part of the gas discharge family of lamps. Metal halide is twice as efficient as mercury vapor and HPS lights, and are three to five-times that of incandescents!

Applications
175 watt metal halide wall packs are an incredibly bright large-sized MH fixture, and are a great choice for high or low ceilings in underpasses, loading docks and stadiums.
This aluminum wall pack has a hinged cover for easy access and maintenance of the internal components and is hermetically sealed to lock out moisture.
External Specification
Built with a tough, die-cast aluminum casing and powder-coated with an architectural bronze finish. A heat-resistant borosilicate refractor covers the lamps inside. Stainless steel screws and gaskets seal the unit completely from outside moisture.
The housing has 1/2" conduit entry points at the bottom for surface mounts and conduit points in back for attachment to any 4" j-box.
Internal Specification
The BD17 175W puls start metal halide tube screws into a medium based 4KV glazed porcelain socket. The light produced is directed and amplified by an anodized aluminum reflector.
An HX-HPF ballast converts incoming AC power into a voltage acceptable to excite the metal halide elements in the tube while regulating any sudden overloads.

Options
Photocontrol Photocell - Sensor detects sunrise and sunset and automatically activates the light accordingly. Select 'PC1' for 120V photocontrol. Select 'PC2' for 208-277V photocontrol.
Full Cutoff Shield - Narrows the wall pack's beam into a focused spot on the ground and prevents light from trespassing into other property or into the sky. Adding this feature will make your unit Dark Sky compliant.
Wireguard - Further protection against vandalism.
Polycarbonate guard - a clear shell that encases the entire unit, adding further protection against the elements.
