Overview
The 400W HPS roadway light is still the most common traffic light in most North American cities. High pressure sodium vapor lamps produce greater illumination than many LED models, and the WP603-HPS-4000 consumes just a little more electricity.
Our extremely popular 400W HPS roadway lights are built with a cast aluminum housing and is given a gray powder coat finish which has a high resistance to weather and corrosion. The housing is coupled with a borosilicate glass lens which protects the lamps inside, creating an airtight seal around the internal components. The 400-watt HPS lamp fits into a glazed porcelain socket that is rated at 4KV and uses an efficient CWA-type ballast.
