The WLFEL wet location emergency light is constructed from high quality corrosion, vandal, and flame resistant polycarbonate that features security latches.
The WLFEL provides efficient fluorescent illumination and the high-output lens combines with a state of the art reflector to create the largest illumination area. The clear polycarbonate cover of the DEL is UV stabilized to reduce yellowing and enable superior light output. The IP65 rating insures its reliability in adverse weather conditions. Fluorescent illumination consumes less power while providing more light than conventional incandescent emergency light illumination sources. The WLFEL provides a minimum 90 minutes of emergency illumination by utilizing a Nickel-Cadmium battery backup system. Optional Nickel Metal Hydride battery backup is available.

The housing of the DEL emergency light is constructed from a high-grade, clear polycarbonate that is corrosion, flame, and vandal resistant. The housing is curved and flush mounts to most surfaces to create a stylish aesthetic.
Auto-Test Diagnostics are standard on the DEL. This option eliminates the testing requirements associated with conventional emergency lights. The auto-test components continually monitor the operation of the unit, including the lamps, battery, transformer, and circuit board. A display of LED lights in different colors and blinking patterns provides a visual alert of any operational problems to those in charge of maintaining the units.
The DEL emergency light is made of injection molded, self-extinguishing, UV stabilized polycarbonate. The reflector supports components including the lamp assemblies and circuit.

Nickel Metal Hydride Battery Option
The primary feature of Ni-Mh batteries is their long life. Ni-Mh batteries are capable of 500 to 1000 charge and discharge cycles and the expected life of the battery is higher than the minimum required by the current technical standards (EN60598-2-22). Ni-Mh batteries are not subject to the “memory effect,” a typical drawback of Ni-Cd batteries, that could result in a reduction in the nominal operation. A further feature of the Ni-Mh batteries is their very high efficiency, more than double that of lead and Ni-Cd batteries. Nickel Metal Hydride batteries have a low environmental impact and are disposable.

The time delay feature keeps the emergency lights ililluminated for a preset period (usually 15 minutes) after power is restored since fluorescent and HID lighting can take 10-15 minutes to reach full brightness, even after a short power failure.
