Overview

The WPEL-HD-6 Wet Location Heavy Duty Emergency Light is outdoor rated and designed for all types of environments that feature moisture and wetness. For applications where temperatures can fall below freezing, the WPEL-HD-6 can be outfitted with an optional internal heater that allows the emergency light and its battery backup system to function below 32 F. This wet location model is weatherproof and waterproof and comes with (2) top-mounted 7.2-watt sealed beam incandescent lamp heads.

The internal battery constantly charges from AC power is prepared to provide at least 90 minutes of emergency mode illumination power in case AC electricity is lost during a power outage, fire, or other emergency. The housing of the WPEL-HD-6 Wet Location Emergency Light is constructed from durable and rugged fiberglass which is fully gasketed to prevent any moisture from entering the fixture. Operates using 120 or 277v AC electricity. UL 924 Listed for the United States - five year warranty.

Application

The WPEL-HD-6 is suitable for installation into wet location environments that feature moisture, rain, sleet, and snow. An internal heater should be ordered with the unit for freezing environments. This model back mounts to most inflammable surfaces.

Electrical Specifications

Installation

This emergency light is suitable for surface (wall and ceiling) installation. This model is suitable for indoor and outdoor wet location installations on normally inflammable surfaces. Use two of three provided wires to connect the unit to AC power. Use the black(120v) and black(Common) wires for 120v AC connections and the red(277v) and black(Common) wires for 277v AC connections.
